When do we shoot?
Our season runs from September through until April. We shoot most Saturday afternoons from 1pm and we finish around 5pm.

What do I need?
If you don’t have a rifle you can hire a .308 calibre rifle or a 6.5 x 284 F-Class rifle, ammunition and other equipment required from us.   Make contact with us first so we can arrange to have this ready for you.
With your own rifle; at the very least, you need to have a pre-zeroed rifle, in any calibre ranging from .223 to 8mm, sufficient ammunition for the afternoon (24 rounds) and ear protection.

Can I bring my own rifle?
Yes you can, as long as it fits within the current Range Standing Orders, previously advised calibre restrictions (.223 – 8mm) and you are happy to shoot it in the prone position.  .303 calibre rifles at this stage can only be used at 300, 500 and 600 yards.  Range Standing Orders requires all shooting on the Seddon Range, Trentham to be in the prone position only.

Where do I go?
The Karori Rifle Club is located at the Seddon Range compound on Messines Avenue in Trentham.  We shoot on a gallery range that is 1000 yards in length.  Our distances vary from 300, 500, 600, 800, 900 to 1000 yards on any given day.

Training / Coaching / Mentoring
If you haven’t shot a rifle before training/coaching/mentoring will be provided by Karori Rifle Club members.
